Party teams
Split friends into quick teams for charades, trivia, scavenger hunts, or other group games.
Split players, classmates, friends, or workshop groups into random teams that stay as even in size as possible.
Add entries to begin.
The Team Generator creates random groups from a participant list. Choose a number of teams or a target number of people per team. Pikyo shuffles the list first and then distributes participants as evenly as possible.
Random assignment can be useful when participants have similar roles or when the goal is a transparent starting point. It is not the same as skill-balanced grouping. After generation, you can rename teams or move a participant when practical needs require an adjustment.
Tool data stays in your browser. Participant names and generated teams stay in your browser. Pikyo does not send them to Technway.
Use randomness when every possible result is acceptable. These are a few natural uses for this tool.
Split friends into quick teams for charades, trivia, scavenger hunts, or other group games.
Create balanced-size groups for quizzes, review games, projects, or rotating activities.
Create random practice sides when skill balancing is not required.
Divide participants into similarly sized groups, then make practical adjustments if needed.
Pikyo securely shuffles a copy of the participant list in your browser, then distributes people across the requested teams so their sizes stay as even as possible.
The shuffle does not know anyone’s skill, role, availability, or personal constraints. If those things matter, use the generated teams as a starting point and adjust them deliberately.
Random teams are not automatically fair for graded work, competitive play, employment decisions, or situations where accessibility, skill, safety, or personal needs must be considered.
The extra participants are distributed one per team until everyone is assigned. Pikyo displays each team size clearly.
Yes. Pikyo calculates the number of teams needed from your target size.
Yes. Use the selector beside a participant to move that person without regenerating all teams.
No. It creates random balanced-size teams only. Skill balancing requires information and rules that this tool does not collect.
Yes, because different people may share a name. Add initials or another neutral identifier when you need to distinguish them.
